Humdinger Foods, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of grocery products, is launching a new range of Fruit Crisps which go on sale within Tesco at the end of February 2006.

Available in handy 50g re-sealable canisters, the range includes Banana, Mango, Pineapple and Exotic (mango, pineapple, banana & lime infused papaya).

Each pack of Fruit Crisps is made with real fresh fruit, which is sliced and specially cooked until they are crisp and crunchy, yet light and delicious. With less than half the fat of regular low fat potato crisps, the range will appeal to anyone looking for a healthy and tasty snack on the go.

As with Humdinger’s other snack products, Fruit Crisps come with a ‘no junk promise’ as they do not contain any artificial colours, flavourings or preservatives. The canisters mean they are ideal for sharing amongst friends or colleagues at work, when travelling or just as a tasty snack at home.

Paul Sangwin, Humdinger Marketing Manager said “We decided to launch a range of real Fruit Crisps to supplement our successful Apple Crisps, in response to increasing consumer demand for healthy and tasty snacks on the go. Traditionally, the range of convenient snacks on offer tends to be limited to crisps and chocolate. Fruit Crisps will provide people with a healthier alternative to the usual high fat / high sugar snacks currently available.”

Priced at £1.09 - £1.19 for a 50g canister (depending on the variety), Humdinger Fruit Crisps will be available from the end of February 2006 in Tesco super-stores.

Humdinger Foods is based in East Yorkshire and has a portfolio of healthy snacking brands aimed at both children and adults. The children’s range includes Humzingers and Lunchbox Mini Snacks, both made from 100% fruit with no added sugar. Adult snacks include a range of Fat-free Apple Crisps Dairy Free (non-dairy chocolate), Japanese Rice Crackers and new Dipping Chocolate. See www.humdinger-foods.co.uk for more info.
