Humdinger Foods, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of grocery products, is launching a new range of Dipping Chocolate which goes on sale at the end of January 2006.
The range of 175g pots will be available in milk and white chocolate varieties and is designed to appeal to adults and children who are looking for a quick and delicious dessert. Humdinger hopes Dipping Chocolate will also make eating fruit more fun for all the family, giving a helping hand to parents who are struggling to get their children to eat 5-a-day.
The chocolate comes in an individual bag, which is then placed into the pot and melted in the microwave for a few minutes. Once ready, Dipping Chocolate is extremely versatile and perfect for dipping everything from mini doughnuts to cookies, marshmallows and wafers. For a healthier snack, fresh or dried fruit can be used such as fresh strawberries, kiwi, banana or dried apricots.
Paul Sangwin, Humdinger Marketing Manager said “We decided to launch Dipping Chocolate after identifying a gap in the market for an every-day chocolate product that could be shared between friends and family at mealtimes. Many people don’t have time to prepare a dessert from scratch and are looking for a quick and easy treat which tastes great but takes next to no time to prepare.”
Dipping Chocolate will be available from January 2006 in selected Sainsbury’s stores throughout the UK. Humdinger hopes to extend this to other retailers later in the year.
Humdinger Foods is based in East Yorkshire and has a portfolio of healthy snacking brands aimed at both children and adults. The children’s range includes Humzingers and Lunchbox Mini Snacks, both made from 100% fruit with no added sugar. Adult snacks include a range of dairy free chocolate, Japanese Rice Crackers and Fruit Crisps.
